Thuli is a South African advocate, Professor of Law, and one of the most respected and internationally recognised champions of social justice, anti-corruption, and constitutional accountability in the world. She served as South Africa’s Public Protector from 2009 to 2016, leading landmark investigations into maladministration and state corruption that helped entrench the principles of constitutional accountability and the rule of law in South Africa’s post-apartheid democracy.
